- Type of work: Building houses. Actual work depends on what stage the houses on the worksite are in. Work can range from hammering nails to painting to landscaping.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

- Type of work: Showing people engineering demos, leading students around the exhibits, etc...
- Event reason: "This event is free and open to students of all ages from grades K-12, prospective high school & college transfer students, teachers, and all others that are interested in learning more about engineering."

Letter Carrier's Food Drive
- Date: Mid-May
- Typical hours: 3 hour shifts (12:30 PM - 3:30 PM or 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM)
- Location: Postal stations across Seattle area
- Type of work: "Unloading non-perishable food donations from the carriers' vehicles to help get them back out on their route."
- Event reason: "This time of year is especially critical for many food banks, since their stock of holiday donations runs low just as school breakfast and lunch programs close for the summer."
