Flash Volunteer

I have been helping out with Flash Volunteer, a new social networking site oriented to helping connect people with volunteer opportunities in their neighborhood in a lightweight, convenient fashion. It will officially launch in summer 2009. Find us on FaceBook.

Society & Technology Group

I coordinate the UW Society and Technology group, an interdisciplinary group of students concerned with the larger institutional ramifications of technology. We are actively involved in policy and technology discussions with ORCA project stakeholders, an RFID-based public transit project for the Puget Sound region.

If you're interested in the group, in ORCA, or in participating in the seminar, let me know.

Trail running

I am an avid trail runner, sometimes dabbling in ultra-marathons in the mountains. Anyone interested should come try it out on one of the Seattle Running Company's Sunday trail runs! Good people, good fun.
