Ski Day 2008
General Information
We're still working out the details, but we're planning (the first?) Ski Day 2008 for Friday January 25th at Stevens Pass. In past years, Hank has provided a pizza lunch, and we've had a reserved room at the mountain. We should get a group discount on lift tickets, lessons, and rentals, though the exact prices are TBA. We think it will be $42 for a lift ticket and $69 for the beginner package (beginner lift ticket, lesson, and rentals). Last year, the discount rate for rentals was $25.
Apres Ski -- at the end of the day (4:00 or a little later) we will meet at the Bull's Tooth Pub for a hot chocolate or (for non-drivers) something stronger. The pub is on the 2nd floor of the Granite Peaks Lodge, the middle of the 3 buildings at the base of the mountain. You can find more details on this map [[1]].
Last year we had 72 people! Hopefully we can get that many this year. We're looking into chartering a bus-- stay tuned! If not, we'll organize carpools through this page.
It's been snowing a TON recently, so hopefully conditions will be great on the 25th. We will be in the mountains in the winter, so please dress warmly, bring extra layers, and bring a change of clothes (or at least socks). If you lack appropriate clothing or don't know what appropriate clothing is, please post your needs or questions below under [[2]]. If you have extra gear, please check below and help out your fellow CSE snow bunnies. Remember sunblock and hydrate well in preparation.
Should be a great day!
