Introduction

Some useful Mac-specific websites sorted by category.

Software

  • MacUpdate - For keeping up with new software and searching for some to do what you want.
  • VersionTracker - Similar to VersionTracker. Somethings on MacUpdate don't appear on VersionTracker and vice-versa.

News

  • MacMinute - Has up to the minute news.
  • MacSurfer - Aggregator for all Mac news.
  • MacNN - CNN for the Macintosh...for what that's worth.

Tips

Troubleshooting

  • MacFixIt - Useful to check before you install a big OS update or buying a new machine.
  • MacInTouch - These guys have reader reports that generally treat all issues people experience with new hardware and software. Very useful at times, but tough to wade through.
