Exporting Contacts through Bitpim

  1. Make sure the phone you want to export from is on the list of compatible phones.
  2. Make sure you have the phone-to-PC cable specified in the list, or that the phone has Bluetooth.
  3. Connect to the PC using the cable. Otherwise, follow the below steps to connect via Bluetooth.
  4. Connecting to the PC using Bluetooth:
    1. Turn on bluetooth on the phone so that it is discoverable.
    2. Search "bluetooth" in the Start search bar to open the Devices and Printers window.
    3. Click "Add a Device"
    4. When Windows finds the phone, follow the prompts.
    5. Check back at your phone -- it will prompt you to make sure you really want to connect.
    6. Once added, in the Devices and Printers window, you will see your phone. Right-click and select Properties.
    7. Click the Services tab and make sure at least "Serial Port", with a COM and number, is selected. Press OK.
    8. Click the Options tab and enable most of the options.
    9. Click the COM ports tab and ensure both an incoming and outgoing port are enabled; if not, add them.
  5. Launch Bitpim.
  6. Go to Edit > Settings. Enable "Read-Only".
  7. Click Phone Wizard on the right and select the phone you're exporting from. Click Next.
  8. If you're using a Verizon LG phone, select "COM" or whatever other port is available. Otherwise, choose "auto". Click Next.
  9. Click Detect Phone to check that everything is connected properly.
  10. Press Finish.
  11. Press OK to close the Settings window.
  12. From the main Bitpim window, select File > Export > CSV Contacts. Click OK.

Exporting Contacts from Windows Mobile

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook and delete all your contacts.
  2. Close Microsoft Outlook.
  3. Connect the Windows Mobile device to a PC using the USB cable.
  4. Method 1 (only for WM6):
    1. Download TBExport and copy the executable to your device.
    2. On your device, run TBExport and press "Export" to save your contacts as a CSV file.
    3. Find where you saved the CSV file and save it to your computer.
  5. Method 2:
    1. Open Windows Mobile Device Center and select Set Up Your Device.
    2. Make sure Contacts is the only thing selected. Click Next.
    3. In Windows Mobile Device Center, click the circle button with two arrows to sync your device with Microsoft Outlook.
    4. Open Microsoft Outlook.
    5. Click File > Import and Export.
    6. Select Export to a file and click Next.
    7. Select Comma Separated Values (Windows) and click Next.
    8. Select the Contacts folder and click Next.
    9. Enter a file name to save the CSV file as and click Next.
    10. Press Finish.

Exporting Contacts from Blackberry

  1. Connect the Blackberry device to the PC using a USB cable.
  2. Open Microsoft Outlook and delete all your contacts.
  3. Close Microsoft Outlook.
  4. Open Blackberry Desktop Manager.
  5. Click Synchonize.
  6. Click the Configuration Tab.
  7. Click the Configure Sync button.
  8. Highlight Address Book.
  9. Click CHOOSE button.
  10. Choose Microsoft Outlook.
  11. Select the the SYNCHRONIZE radio button.
  12. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  13. Click File > Import and Export.
  14. Select Export to a file and click Next.
  15. Select Comma Separated Values (Windows) and click Next.
  16. Select the Contacts folder and click Next.
  17. Enter a file name to save the CSV file as and click Next.
  18. Press Finish.

Exporting Contacts from iPhone

  1. Connect the iPhone to the PC using a USB cable.
  2. Open Microsoft Outlook and delete all your contacts.
  3. Close Microsoft Outlook.
  4. If it doesn't open automatically, open iTunes.
  5. In iTunes, in the source list, under Devices, click the entry for the iPhone.
  6. Click the Info tab.
  7. Under Contacts, click Sync contacts from, and then click Outlook.
  8. Do one of the following:
    1. To synchronize all contacts, click All contacts.
    2. To limit the contacts that are synchronized, click Selected groups, and then click the groups you want to synchronize.
      1. To select multiple groups, press CTRL as you click each group name.
  9. Click Apply.
  10. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  11. Click File > Import and Export.
  12. Select Export to a file and click Next.
  13. Select Comma Separated Values (Windows) and click Next.
  14. Select the Contacts folder and click Next.
  15. Enter a file name to save the CSV file as and click Next.
  16. Press Finish.

Exporting Contacts from Android

  1. Connect the Android device to the PC using a USB cable.
  2. On the phone, open Contacts.
  3. Click the menu button and select Import/Export.
  4. Select Export to SD card.
  5. Press OK to save your contacts as a VCF file on the SD card.
  6. Transfer the file to your computer via USB.

Importing Contacts into TyTn II

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Delete all contacts.
  3. Close Microsoft Outlook.
  4. Connect the TyTn II to the computer via USB cable.
  5. Open Windows Mobile Device Center.
  6. Set up the device to sync contacts if it hasn't already.
  7. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  8. Select File > Import and Export.
  9. If you have a CSV file, select "Import from another program or file", press Next, then select Comma Separated Values (Windows). If you have a VCF file, select "Import a VCARD file". Press Next.
  10. Browse to the file you want to import, then press Next.
  11. Select Contacts as the destination folder. Press Next.
  12. Press Finish. Your contacts should now be in Outlook.
  13. In Windows Mobile Device Center, press the button with two arrows to sync your phone.
